Our story

In August 2003,  songwriter and producer Andy Sharpe was asked to run song writing workshops for indigenous school kids.  It was part of the Garma Festival, organized by Australia’s pre-eminent indigenous band ‘Yothu Yindi’ and held in the amazing Arnhemland in Australia’s far north.

The song writing workshops involved around 16 kids at a time and were two hours long, during which a completely original song was written and recorded by the group.  Immediately following the workshop the song was given to the local radio station to broadcast throughout the region.  The kids then performed their songs at the festival’s nightly show.

On returning to Sydney, Andy was asked by a friend and business owner if he could do some music-based teambuilding with his sales team of 15.  He took them into a recording studio for an afternoon where they wrote a completely original song and recorded it.  The second client was Australia’s largest bank, The Commonwealth Bank, followed by Virgin Mobile.
